In today’s world, transgender and intersex experiences are often hidden or marginalized.  But Jewish texts since 200 C.E. are full of trans and intersex people, and the perspectives of our ancestors about sex and gender can often be surprising.  Today, many of these extraordinary writings are again coming into the light, and queer Jews around the world are bringing our fresh voices to a 2,000-year-old conversation.  All are welcome to join us to study texts from the Mishna, Talmud, and Midrash, as well as medieval law and poetry, all through a gender-queer lens.
