Introduction to Judaism
Class Begins May 19th, 2009

Taught by Rabbinical Intern Reuben Zellman

Whether you are brand new to Judaism or a veteran who wants to fill in your knowledge, we welcome you to explore Judaism in our diverse, inclusive community that celebrates all sexual and gender identities.  The course is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.  Bring your partners and friends!  This 17-session overview is an appropriate starting place for those exploring conversion or who just want to know more about Jewish life.  The course will cover holidays, sacred texts, ethics, history, customs, beliefs, the lifecycle, social justice and more, in an environment that encourages your questions and perspectives.  Field trips, Shabbat dinner and other experiences will be part of the course.

All Classes are 7:00-9:00 p.m. at CSZ

Trimester 1 : Tuesdays May 19th – June 23rd
Trimester 2: Mondays August 10th - September 14th
Trimester 3: Mondays, October 5th – November 9th

Cost: $126.00 for CSZ members, $180.00 for non-members, plus cost of materials.  All are encouraged to join us regardless of ability to pay.
