CSZ and the National Council on Alcoholism and other Drug Addictions-Bay Area invite you to a celebration of recovery from addiction and mental illness on Recovery Shabbat, Friday April 2, featuring specially themed readings and drash by David Wasserman, PhD. In the spirit of Passover, we celebrate the freedom and joy of a life free of bondage.

The service is focused on recovery from substance abuse and mental illness. There will be special Recovery-themed readings as well as sermon entitled The Personal Exodus of Recovery. The service is aimed at anyone who is affected by their own or someone else' substance use or mental illness, whether in recovery or not.

The Kiddush for this special Shabbat will be non-alcoholic.

A recovery themed torah study will immediately follow the service.
