In honor of Simchat Torah, come celebrate the launch of "Torah Queeries: Weekly Commentaries on the Hebrew Bible," a new book from NYU Press with 60 scholarly essays "queering" the weekly Torah portions and major holidays. Congregation Sha’ar Zahav will be hosting this first public event for the new anthology, edited by Jewish Mosaic director and former CSZ member Gregg Drinkwater, Judaic studies scholar Dr. David Shneer (CSZ's former director of education), and Rabbi Joshua Lesser of Congregation Bet Haverim, CSZ's sister congregation in Atlanta. Join Shneer and Drinkwater, along with many of the book’s contributors, for an evening of music, wine and Torah!
