The Welcoming Committee invites all new members to attend a special happy hour to show our appreciation for your joining us this year. What defines a new member? Answer: Anyone who has joined us (or returned) in the last year as well as anyone who has been a long-term member but who wants to reconnect and make some new friends.
 
We also encourage long-term members to come and extend a warm hand of friendship and welcoming to our newcomers. We all remember what it was like to be new and how receiving a warm welcoming is so important to making our community a hamish one.
 
Wine, non-alcoholic beverages and cheese/light refreshments will be served at this low-key event. This is an event of appreciation - not one to ask for money, commitment, or anything else. Just a time to schmooze and relax in community. Children are welcome to attend the event. Toys, art supplies and books will be available for their use (with parental supervision).
