Did Queer Jewish American culture exist before the years of Stonewall and Angels in America?  Join author Warren Hoffman as he discusses his new book which looks at queer Jewish American culture in the first half of the 20th century.  From a lesbian Yiddish play from 1907 and Yiddish cross-dressing to homoerotic Jewish novels and transgender short stories, Hoffman reveals some fascinating moments in mainstream Jewish American culture that challenges the notion that queerness is simply a contemporary phenomenon.
