QUEER JEWISH THEOLOGY with Jay Michaelson

Jay Michaelson is a writer, scholar, and activist whose work addresses the intersections of Judaism, sexuality, spirituality, and law.  As an activist, Jay is the executive director of Nehirin, a nonprofit organization which builds community for GLBT Jews, partners, and allies. In 2009, he was included on the "Forward 50" list of the fifty most influential American Jews. The panel will include local intellectual, religious and political figures from the LGBT community and a discussion about Israel and Zionism.
