Interfaith Prayer Service, post-Prop 8 verdict

On Tuesday, August 10, 2010, spiritual communities who support marriage equality will come together to reflect and pray. The Coalition of Welcoming Congregations, a program of the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry, is organizing an interfaith prayer service following the announcement of the Proposition 8 verdict. We hope you will join us.

 When: Tuesday, August 10, 2010, 7:00-8:30 pm

Where: Congregation Sha'ar Zahav

290 Dolores Street (Corner of 16th Street)

San Francisco, CA

What: A Taizé-inspired service featuring music, speakers, and candlelight prayer time. To empower the community, and center us individually, for the work that's ahead.

Who: LGBTQ and allied people; all are welcome.

Note: If you are clergy and would like to be part of the Opening Procession, please wear your clerical garments (including robes) and arrive 30 minutes early.
