Shabbes Beat and Transgender Day of Remembrance Shabbat with Cantor Bernstein

November 16, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Shabbes Beat and Transgender Day of Remembrance
Friday, November 16
7:30 pm
Part of Judaism is balancing the joy of Shabbat with painful realities. Shabbes Beat will be joyous as always, and we will also have space for mourning the losses in the trans community as we commemorate Transgender Day of Remembrance, particularly in light of recent threats to transgender and non-binary identities. A member will offer a drash in recognition of this commemoration and in support of our transgender and non-binary community. All are welcome as we simultaneously hold joy and loss in our sacred space
Third Friday of the month
