Membership Financial Commitment and Renewal

In these uncertain times, we can turn to what has sustained us – Sha’ar Zahav – for almost a half-century, our sacred community, our kehillah kedoshah.

Unlike most synagogues, we do not have set dues. Instead, we rely on our member households to make a meaningful contribution to cover our costs. The cost to run our synagogue comes out to $3,600 annually ($300/month) per household.  We know, however, that many members are unable to donate at this level, and some are able to contribute more.

Now, more than ever, your gift is not just a donation. It is an affirmation that our community matters. That we matter. That being together matters. Thank you for your financial commitment – and most importantly – helping sustain our sacred community.

Please consider making your donation now.

We’ve made it easy; click here.

Sha’ar Zahav does not set membership dues for its members. Instead, we ask each member to pledge an amount that is meaningful to them, a gift from the heart.

To cover any gaps in the community’s annual expenses or for capital improvement projects, Sha’ar Zahav launches several annual fundraising campaigns and invites the participation of all community members and non-members alike.

Renewing your Membership

Like most congregations, Sha’ar Zahav’s fiscal year is from July to June. Your annual membership is renewed every June with your new annual contribution to the community.
